Toddle Inn's founder and owner Cheryl Carrier was recently named Maine's Woman Business Owner of the Year by the Small Business Administration. The SBA recognized what Toddle Inn parents have long known, that Toddle Inn is a forerunner and industry leader in quality childcare. While participating in the 2005 Yarmouth Clam Festival Parade, Toddle Inn was awarded the Best Costumes award. The theme for this year's parade was "Unforgettable Vacations", and Toddle Inn's float was definitely unforgettable. Including a walking outhouse, queen poison ivy as well as the Toddle Inn Bus complete with a tent on top. Everybody had fun, thanks to all who helped.

On August 20th, Toddle Inn participated in the 2005 Gorham Family Fair Parade. Todd L. Bear was present, as well as the Toddle Inn bus. We want to thank all the parents and kids who showed up, we all had a blast.

Toddle Inn recently released a new television commercial that has been popping up on local tv stations. The commercial features founder Cheryl Carrier, as well as many of Toddle Inn's facilities and even the smiling faces of a few of our kids. To view the commercial, follow this link

On January 3, 2006, Toddle Inn welcomed our sixth center into the family, our newest location in Auburn. The Auburn center was opened in order to meet the need of the families in Auburn, in particular, the displaced families from Smart Start. The calls kept coming from this area asking Toddle Inn to help. So Toddle Inn responded and opened the center in record time, bringing the Toddle Inn standard of excellence to the Central Maine region. You can read more about it here.

On May 7, 2006 Toddle Inn staff and management participated in the March of Dimes WalkAmerica. The mission of WalkAmerica is to "use our feet to give premature babies a hand". Toddle Inn staff raised money and pledges to donate to March of Dimes very worthy cause. The walk consisted of a five mile loop along the Back Bay in Portland. There were many sore staff members on Monday, but it was well worth it.

On July 21, 2006, Toddle Inn staff and kids participated in the Yarmouth Clam Festival Parade. The theme this year was "Fantastic Inventions" and as always Toddle Inn's Cumberland Center with help from our other centers created a wonderful float and creative costumes. For their efforts, Toddle Inn was awarded 2nd place in the "School/Camp Float" category. But more importantly, everyone involved had fun.

On September 4th, 2006, Toddle Inn managers and Toddle Inn founder Cheryl Carrier participated in the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon. Toddle Inn Parents and Staff raised $3135 for the MDA, and that sum was matched dollar for dollar by Toddle Inn Inc. Also on hand for the great cause was Todd L. Bear, Todd L. Bear Jr. and Toddles. Toddle Inn was honored to participate in such a great cause, and thanks to all the Toddle Inn Parents and Staff for their hard work.

Toddle Inn franchisees have broken ground and begun construction on the very first Toddle Inn Franchise location. The center is being built in Kennebunk, and will extend the tradition of Toddle Inn excellence into York county. You can find out more about the Kennebunk location by clicking here.

Toddle Inn is excited to be breaking ground on a new center in Auburn. Toddle Inn began providing quality childcare to the Auburn area in 2006 at the site of the defunct Smart Start daycare. Now Auburn families will be able receive the same quality childcare, but now that childcare will be provided in a state of the art facility.

On March 4th, Toddle Inn Founder Cheryl Carrier received a volunteer award at the March of Dimes Greater Portland Chapter's annual meeting. Cheryl has been involved with the March of Dimes and their March for Babies walk since 2002. Cheryl and her staff have raised in excess of $17,000.00 over the years for the March of Dimes.
